New Low Frequency Magnetotherapy
It was the year 1993 when Nuova Elettronica, an Italian electronics company, published a Professional Low Frequency Magnetotherapy device in their renowned magazine. This amazing apparatus condensed years of research and incorporated all the recommendations from doctors and physiotherapists to achieve the perfect machine.
The Magnetotherapy by Nuova Elettronica device (photo above) helped many people heal and significantly improve their health. Unfortunately, the company closed in September 2012, and their kits ceased production.

Pain — constant pain
In the early ’90s, I began suffering pain episodes. My family doctor, who is very strict, told me that an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) would be expensive for the public healthcare system.
“You have nothing; it’s just weekend stress.”
Strange, because I was in my twenties, happily married, and not feeling stressed at all. He prescribed a medication that was later withdrawn in other European countries, so I decided to stop poisoning myself.
I turned to herbal therapy and natural ointments, but the effect was mild and I never felt well. In the ’90s, I ran a cleaning business, and balancing work and health was not easy.
Passion and Solution
Yes, passion and solution. My greatest passion: electronics was the solution to the pain..
I read about its potential in the magazine and decided to buy the Nuova Elettronica Low Frequency Magnetotherapy kit to see if it could relieve me. After just a few sessions, my cervical pain disappeared, i couldn’t believe it!
Reconstruction
I needed another magnetotherapy device at home, but knew reproducing it from scratch was nearly impossible, and used units were nowhere to be found.
In May 2024, I decided to try anyway and told my wife one morning. She supported me patiently through daily complaints—her psychological support was invaluable.
I won’t go into all the challenges, but I’ll say I had many sleepless nights figuring out how to solve issues—especially sourcing components, including the “brain” of the device: a programmed chip.
I had to recreate:
- Top mask graphics (display).
- Large mask graphics (buttons).
- Printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Winding support.
- Coil windings.
- Chip.
- Chip.
The coil windings inside the applicators were made by a specialized company. They are identical in every way—wire gauge and number of turns. I am very meticulous i need things done my way.
Improvements
The Nuova Elettronica Magnetotherapy device was electronically perfect but had some issues, which I fixed to create a “foolproof” machine.
As you can see in the photo above, I used professional connector plugs with locking rings to prevent accidental detachment. The display and buttons are mounted with screws; the original had glued mounts that would eventually come off. Now you’d need a hammer to damage it!
The control panel in this version uses high-quality silver-contact buttons.
A 3 AM Solution
One thing still bothered me: how to treat my spine. It was nearly impossible to keep the applicators in place. I tried everything: inside my sweatshirt, strapped them on, even a wooden support (see photo), but it didn’t follow the spine curvature. Plus, I could only treat my spine, not other areas.
One night around 3 AM, I thought of using a sleeveless vest and adding Velcro. My wife Rossana sewed the Velcro and pockets for the magnetic applicators.
I finally found a solution to treat my chest easily and independently.
Awareness
Today’s society moves faster and thinks less, often overlooking real value. It takes years to over-stress our bodies, yet we expect to fix ailments in a day or two.
Magnetotherapy is not just for pain. Studies show that magnetism can positively influence the entire human body: we are made of energy and magnetic fields—even the heart has one, known as the cardiac magnetic field. This field is perceived by others, and yes, studies support this.
Why tell you this? Simply to say that energy must be preserved and replenished.

Before I finish, I want to share that I had to change doctors twice and wait over ten years to get that blessed spinal MRI. In the end, I succeeded thanks to the great humanity of Dr. Angelo Donini.
All my pain was due to multiple herniated discs in my spine. Now I have 17 herniations, and this magnetotherapy device continues to help me live a better, pain-free life.

Future Goals
It would truly be a dream to be able to regain CE certification. Let’s not forget that the Magnetotherapy of Nuova Elettronica was already certified in the past: a recognition that attested to its quality and reliability. If it were not possible to retrace that path, we will launch a fundraising campaign: because this extraordinary device deserves to continue living and to give hope to many people who are seeking relief and a better quality of life.

ANOTHER PROJECT
Photodynamic Therapy
After years of waiting, I finally decided to publish the other “creation” that I brought back to life: an apparatus for Photodynamic Therapy, only “small” in appearance, but very powerful!
The great thing is that this apparatus, which is used for: wrinkles, acne, scars, skin spots, stimulating collagen production, pain, etc., does not require acidic creams to be applied.
A bit of history (a must-read). This apparatus was designed and built by a company that unfortunately no longer exists. This Italian electronics company was contacted by beauticians and physiotherapists because a similar apparatus was being offered to them at an exorbitant cost (in the early 2000s) of 3,000 euros + VAT. Desperate that they could not afford it, they asked this company if it was possible to make one with the same characteristics. They succeeded! They significantly lowered the cost, allowing them to purchase it.
In 2005, some spots appeared above my wife’s lips. Since she was desperate, I decided to build this photodynamic therapy apparatus, and after 15–20 days of use (two 15-minute sessions a day), the spots had disappeared. The great thing is that thirty years later, the spots have never reappeared! (see face photo)
You can also see the results on an angioma on the chest and hand, after laser therapy under general anesthesia had been ineffective.
